🌊 A Note on Our Douglas Lake Location
Our home sits along Douglas Lake — a beautiful, seasonally managed lake whose water levels shift throughout the year based on weather, season, and operational schedules set by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
📍What to expect:
• Water levels tend to peak from May–August
• Levels start declining in September
• Expect the lowest levels from October–March
Because of these natural fluctuations, the shoreline and water access you see on move-in day may look different from the listing photos, depending on when you visit. The peaceful lake setting and views are enjoyable year-round, but we can't guarantee full water access at every time of year.
For current conditions before you arrive, check the TVA Lake Info app or TVA's official Lake Levels website. Since lake levels are managed entirely by TVA and outside our control, they unfortunately aren't eligible grounds for a refund.
📍A note on the dock: reaching it means navigating roughly 60+ stairs down from the house. If anyone in your group has mobility limitations, please factor this in before booking.
