AWD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Please be advised that the final road leading to the cabin features a steep incline. It is strongly recommended, especially during the winter season, to arrive in a vehicle equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) if available. While it is possible to ascend the hill without an AWD vehicle, having one will significantly enhance traction and improve your safety while navigating the road.

SEASONAL FIREPLACE
We love cozy fireplaces as much as the rest, however during the warmer months we cannot allow them to be ran. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE FIREPLACE FROM MAY 1 - NOVEMBER 1ST.
We enjoyed our stay and were excited to be able to extend our trip a few days bc of a snowstorm. Absolutely beautiful with snow falling! ❄️
a few little things but a very nice cabin.
Really enjoyed our weekend at this cabin! The road is a little steep so AWD is def recommended but my Corolla made it up okay. it was beautiful and cozy and perfect for a weekend in the ozarks!
Wonderful cabin and location. Lived everything about it!
The cabin we stayed at was perfect for our family of 6 for our New Years getaway. The cabin was very cozy and the kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed for our stay. Having a washer and dryer was nice too. We really enjoyed staying there and would love to stay again if we go back to the area.
Great cabin to stay in and would happily go back! Fantastic views and secluded from town with easy access to a lot to do in the Buffalo river area. Ryan and Kara with great hosts!
Beautiful cabin in such a pretty location!
To anyone wanting a beautiful view and some peace and quiet - this is the place!
My husband and I stayed here for our Baby Moon, and it was just perfect for our extended weekend getaway! The cabin is so cute and cozy - we felt right at home. Our little FWD SUV had no problem getting up the hill, so don’t think AWD is totally necessary but a little sedan would definitely bottom out on the way up. We didn’t stay long enough to use it, but having the in unit washer and dryer would be so helpful for extended stays or bigger groups. Overall a great stay, we couldn’t recommend enough!
Clean and comfortable, a tranquil spot with a lovely view. Check-in was easy and the hosts communicative. A stellar home base for our three-man, four-day climbing trip at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. I unhesitatingly recommend for a group of four or less. Would stay again.
The driveway is as difficult as other reviews mention. Our Corolla was repeatedly successful after we figured out the approach angle and momentum, but I'm not sure it would have achieved the ascent and the turn in wet weather.
The tap water tastes great; we drank it all week. If you plan to cook, consider bringing your own condiments and coffee grounds, lids for pots and pans, and a second baking sheet.
Enjoy!
Perfect home base for hiking
We had a great time staying at the Wood Bison Cabin. Everything was as described. Lots of room for our family of 6. It was very peaceful and quiet. We can't wait to make our way back someday!
We loved our stay! The cabin was very close to town, while still feeling remote and peaceful. The neighboring cabins were very close by, but are arranged in a way that you still feel like you have privacy. I’d gladly return!
My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend away, but there was definitely plenty of room for more people. It's secluded yet not too far from town to grab things if needed. It was nice to have the filtered water in the fridge. Master bed was cozy. Could do a few small things to improve but overall a great stay!
We had a nice time at Ryan and Kara’s.
The cabin was in a great location close to the grocery store and restaurants!
Great stay at the cabin! Make sure to have a vehicle equipped to make the trek up the cabins. Overall cabin was beautiful and plenty big for a group.
The cabin was in great shape, had everything we needed and a nice and tidy. Sheets and hot tub were both clean, and check in and out instructions were clear and concise. Would stay again!
Beautiful home and location! And they were very helpful in answering our questions quickly when we were trying to book a last minute reservation!
We had a good time. The cabin was nice and had enough room for everyone. Kids loved the hot tub. I like that it was close to town but still felt like we were in a tree house. We had a great breakfast at Ozark Cafe in Jasper and went on a beautiful hike at Lost Valley. I would recommend two things though: The turn up the road to get to the cabin was pretty hard. We got stuck a couple times and we saw several guest struggling. Do not stop is my only recommendation ☺️ Second recommendation: Bring your own smores sticks, wood and matches. Luckily we found some woods and matches and were able to use the firepit.
Super responsive and friendly hosts! Never once felt like I was bothering them when asking questions and the place was so cozy and wonderful. 10/10 would stay again!
Place was a 10/10 for my group! East check in process and would definitely recommend for anyone needed a quick get away!
We have stayed at these cabins a couple different times and always been blown away with the Beauty and cleanness of them and the responsiveness of the host.
The cabin is right outside of town. Every morning I sat outside and listened to the sounds. Each room has an AC Splitter so each room can be set to what you like. The beds were very comfortable and my kids enjoyed the bunk beds. There are lots of places to swim and are easily accessible in the Buffalo river. The grocery store is 10 minutes down the road. Nice places to eat in town. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to get away.
everything went well. the instructions on getting to the cabin were very useful and made it easy. simple check in and check out process. would definitely stay here again
We felt very comfortable and at home here. It was a cozy and peaceful cabin. We enjoyed it and it was a nice little trip we took to distract and enjoy ourselves.
Our family had a great stay at the Wood Bison cabin! It was the perfect accommodation for our weeklong outdoor excursion. Great condition. Peaceful and secluded.
We had a great 2 night stay! Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Check in & out as easy & communication was always quick throughout the process!
Great place and an awesome trip!
We had 6 people in our group for a girls weekend. We had great sleeping accommodations. This cabin does get the most traffic with other cabins being on down the road from it but still seemed private especially the back porch. We had a lot of fun and it was a perfect spot for us to get to all the waterfalls we wanted to view.
Beautiful place. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors.
Ryan was amazingly responsive and friendly.
Very peaceful cabin in the woods
We had stayed here as a family of four with two teen girls. Th space was small enough to feel close but large enough for the kids and adults to find our own refuge. Extremely close to jasper and the river where we kayaked. Any improvements would be lighting and bedding as the mattresses were pretty firm for our liking and the lighting in the main area was either too dim for activities at the table such as board games or too bright to watch tv in the main area. All in all it was a nice and clean place in a great location.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The king bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the jacuzzi.
The road to the house is very steep so make sure you have an AWD vehicle.
We were reminded again on 2 things with Airbnb's: (1) plan meals ahead and know what you'll need to prep and cook. If anything isn't listed, take it. (2) if anything is missing or not working correctly that was listed on the page, immediately reach out and contact the host.
The host was very responsive.
Great stay, enjoyed the beautiful area.
Enjoyed our stay!
Great place to explore. Loved the hot tub and fire pit!
Instantly felt relief when we walked in and it smelled fresh and clean. Everything was tidy and neat and appeared very new. The natural light was lovely.
Wonderful time at this cabin! Would definitely stay here again. Close to town with pretty views!
a few hiccups but was able to resolve the issue. Great team and appreciate allowing us to stay would love to stay again
Our stay was great! The cabin was as described and very clean! All instructions were clear and the host was very responsive to any questions we had! We had a great stay with our family and will be back!
Absolutely beautiful!!! We had the most amazing weekend and wished we could've stayed longer!! Great owner!
The place was extremely clean and well managed. Everything was amazing about the stay! Great place to have a peaceful getaway!
We got snowed in at this place and loved it. Plenty of space and a nice back porch with a hot tub. We will be coming back!!!
Awesome place. Will book again
Our family loved staying at this beautiful cabin. They even set up a Christmas tree for us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and inviting. We had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway to the Ozarks.
Beautiful cabin an hour from Branson. Relaxing and quiet place to get away from the hustle.
My wife and I stayed three nights in the Wood Bison cabin in Jasper, Arkansas. Our stay was a truly memorable and wonderful experience because of the beautiful cabin that was cantilevered off the side of a mountain overlooking the Little Buffalo River. The A-frame cabin was light filled and airy and the hot tub on the deck was extraordinary! We loved every moment that we were there!
Everything was extremely clean, including the hot tub. The secluded view and the hot tub are the obvious stand out features here. Everything else was very clean and well appointed for this price range. The driveway is steep with loose gravel but we had no problems getting up it in a city SUV. We would stay here again.
Our stay was AMAZING!!! We enjoyed every minute. We will definitely be returning
Great private place to get away.
Beautiful cabin and scenery! Very peaceful and private, would definitely recommend.
Pleasant cabin with amble room , plenty of items present to make the stay very doable without having to bring stuff from home.
Great stay. As advertised. The road up to the cabin is very steep and has loose gravel so be prepared. My first try in a little 2 wheel drive I had some issues, but wasn't a big deal once you get the approach right.
Great stay!
Ryan’s place was great for our 5 day stay! The area was nice and quiet. Beautiful scenery! We enjoyed hiking and letting our kids splash in the Buffalo River. After a long day of hiking it was nice to come back and relax in the hot tub. We are hoping to come back in the summer and if Ryan’s place is available, we will book again!
Overall the cabin was a solid option and provided what we needed for our stay. Unfortunately the whole process felt transactional at best and the hosts were not particularly accommodating to various requests we made, despite the fact that we stayed there for over a week. Add in little things like not having a proper shower curtain, only providing 2 laundry pods and 1 spare garbage bag that doesn’t actually fit the trash can, leaving partially scratched off product labels on the windows, and not replacing worn down kitchen equipment and it’s obvious that their main concern is to maximize ROI over guest experience. Again, the property is probably suitable for whatever stay you have in mind, but it may be a little below the standard experience you expect from Airbnbs
perfect, restful getaway. very accommodating. communication wonderful, and cabin was beautiful.
This place was amazing. The location was great. The communication with the host was wonderful. I will recommend this to everyone.
The cabin was in a great location, 5 minutes from Low Gap. We were able to relax, cook, watch movies, and get in the hot tub. The beds were nice so everyone slept well.
Our stay at Wood Bison was exactly what we’d hoped for. We needed a quiet family getaway for a few days to take a break from our busy lives and before the start of a busy year ahead. The grocery store was just a couple of miles away, and there were plenty of outdoor/relaxing activities for us. We enjoyed a rainy day in the cabin playing Uno and also spending time in the hot tub. The cabin was well cared for and looked the same in person as in pictures. We viewed elk in Boxley Valley and hiked Lost Valley Trailhead. We visited a local restaurant (which was great!) and enjoyed The Great Passion Play. We were thankful that we took our 4 WD vehicle as recommended on reviews by previous guests. Our choice to take that vehicle gave us ease in entering the driveway. However, we did notice that another cabin’s occupant made it up the driveway just fine in a minivan.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and we’ve already talked about visiting the cabin again in the future!
Beautiful cabin! Close to Jasper, a cute little town. Enjoyed the stay.
The cabin was just what we needed for a get away. Even though there are other cabins on the street you had privacy and barely noticed anyone else was in the area! Beautiful surroundings and a well stocked cabin! Had everything we needed to grill dinner and snuggle in! Hot tub was perfect after a long day of exploring!
This was a great place to stay when floating the Buffalo River!!
Really good place to stay at near the town so if you need food. Was quick to answer questions we had. Place was easy to find just like he put in his description. Would recommend staying here if you want to travel to Arkansas
The cabin has amazing view and is extremely clean and comfortable
We really enjoyed the cabin and its location. It’s right outside of Jasper, so it was convenient to run to town for fun or necessities. I love the Buffalo River and surrounding areas and the cabin put us in the middle of it all
Ryan was a great host. Very responsive and made our stay wonderful! The only con I would say is heed the warning about the need for AWD. We had a minivan and struggled a bit to get up the hill.
Loved it super nice. And Ryan was a great host !!!
Everything was absolutely perfect. The hot tub with the views and the privacy. The pictures are exactly the same as in person and very clean. My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The hostess are very helpful and responsive. The drive is a little steep, but my car made it just fine. We are ready to plan are next visit! Would highly recommend!
We loved getting to stay here! Driveway is a little rough but once you're up it and at the cabin it's so worth it!
Everything was perfect.
Wood Bison 2 was exactly what we were looking for in Jasper for our family vacation. Easy access to the Ponca area where we floated the Buffalo River, took a Canopy Tour, hiked the gorgeous Lost Valley Trail and explored local swimming holes. Plenty of adventurous things to do nearby, convenient location. The house was very well kept, clean, spacious. Felt secluded but right near town. We loved the hot tub!! The towels provided next to the hot tub were a nice touch. The house was exactly as described with no surprises. The decor was nice. The bbq grill worked great and we cooked all of our meals on the deck. My family loved this trip and we’ll be back!
We had an amazing anniversary stay. Well worth the time and money.
Enjoyed the rustic decor and the back porch with hot tub!
